I finally got Aya to go out for karaoke with me, telling him that we were both sad bastards so we should go out and have fun. I took him to this bar in New York City, got a beer into him, and assured him that none of these people would ever see him again. And it worked. Guy sings well, even in English, and the crowd liked him. Very good voice, and I made sure he stayed by me when I went up to make me better when I sang. He even enjoyed himself. So there.

But I had a good time. Did the people really like me? A lot of them were speaking Cantonese, so I couldn't be sure.

I'm all for Aya-kun getting out more. I'm leery about him doing it in the company of a man who tormented and threatened us, Ouka, and Sakura. I'm leery of a man who could force us to change our minds and worried for Aya-kun.

Of course I did! It's a classic!

His name's actually "Ran." He took on his sister's name when he started out to get vengeance on the man who put her in a coma and murdered their parents. He's been "Aya" for so long now that even though he got his revenge he stayed with it. His sisters still call him "Ran" though.
